My adventures with Lynn Parham and her
family On Saturday, June 24, I headed to South Carolina to celebrate Lynn's parent's 25th wedding anniversary. There were a lot of people there, and we had some great food. But it was really late when we got home Saturday night, and I was tired. I slept like a baby. On Sunday, Lynn, Stanley and her mother/father-in-law headed to the Hartwell nursing home to see Maw Maw. On my way in lots of people smiled at me, and one lady, Mary, gave me the biggest hug ever. She said she wished I was around all the time...it made me blush! I sat on her lap and had my picture made. She said she'd keep it forever. Maw Maw was really surprised when I came waltzing in the room, but she was glad to see me, too. I had my picture made with her, and she told me she would be 90 in July. (I'm hoping I can come back for her birthday party!) After we left the nursing home, I got to hang outside for awhile because everyone was hungry and we stopped at the Bantem Chef in Hartwell and had a picnic. Lots of people driving by waved and blew their horns! It was a lot of fun. Finally, on Monday, I went to work with Stanley and someone let me hang out in the office all day. I met lots of people, and they were super nice to me. During my entire journey, I managed to collect $100 for the Anthens Canine Rescue program. I'm really glad I could help out, and I want to thank everyone for being so nice to me! |
